I worked with Jamie McLellan and Olivier Henrichot on a number of projects over the years. The year was 2018 and this was a small shoe start up with a very ambitious goal to design a unique and sustainable product line. One of the most successful models is a project “TREE RUNNER and TREE DASHER” I chose to show this project here because it’s elegant and simple. It is also an extremely comfortable walking shoe with good support.
From this early sketch phase in 2019 I worked on this concept with Jamie , then continued with Olivier. It was a major outsole rework since wool runner. Tree runner plus midsole and outsole compressed.
These two variations of midsole set the theme for production development. These images based on early CAD models

SUGAR RUNNER
Is a super fun project Jamie started in the summer of 2020. It’s an Allbirds take on “crocs” but more versatile with better breathability and made with sugar cane recyclable foam.

SUGAR RUNNER
Super nice prototypes created but never made it to production.
