In early 2011 after arriving to San Francisco, I met my old college friend Adam Barry. He asked me if I knew anything about designing headsets and gaming products, I said not but I am willing to learn. That was the beginning of my journey with him and his team for the next 5 years. This was a small group of guys that had a lot of fun working together and I really enjoyed learning and contributing to the success of the brand. I was involved in designing A50, A40, A30, A20 headsets that are still in production today. Each headset has it’s own story….
As it happens with a lot of small companies, Astro gaming got acquired by Skullcandy at about the same time and now we also started designing headsets and other related products for them as well. These two headsets SLYR and SLYR 2 were created in collaboration with Astro studio led by Dana Krieger.
Gaming accessories is a big part of the story for Astro. One of the most memorable projects was working on C40 controller. This type of product is all about ergonomics, clever component packaging and function in order to achieve product market fit in a very crowded and competitive marketplace.
Xbox MixAmp M60 and M80 projects are interesting examples of using same technology but applying different form factor in order to differentiate product offering to clients

As part of my working relationship with Astro studio I was involved in many consulting projects for clients. One of these projects was especially fun to be involved in. 3DR SOLO drone form factor was so different and challenging to execute that it required special attention. I think this is the reason I show this project to clients as an example of my work. To be clear, I was only involved in this project in a very beginning conceptual stage, but design and form factor had such impact that it made it into production virtually unchanged ( visually)
